Epic Conditions was developed by WME in 2005. The Weather Channel commissioned fifteen episodes between 2006 and 2007. The series premiered in the spring of 2006 and was also a cornerstone for a prime-time stunt in the fall of 2007 with episodes playing nightly for six consecutive weeks. Epic Conditions focused on rare locations, where weather and geography collide to produce the most iconic destinations in the action and adventure sports worlds. The series was shot on-location throughout North America including: Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, California, Idaho, British Columbia and Maryland. Epic drew new and younger viewers to TWC and was also heavily promoted on www.weather.com/tv with an “Epic” branded interactive sub-site. The series is still aired regularly on multiple cable channels and is also distributed widely in various international markets.
